
| Nearly 200 years ago Rochat made this wonderful singing bird vase (pictured left). It had a unique movement with 8 singing birds (click to enlarge). In was a remarkable intersection of art and design. Several others over the past centuries have continued the tradition of making unique singing bird bouquets, but very few examples remain -- mostly A few years ago, shortly after Mr. Wendel and MMM (we have told you about them on other pages) a North American company decided to revive the singing bird bouquet tradition. They have graciously allowed us to help them find collectors and designers who would like to buy them. |

| has a standard silk flower arrangement, but each also could be customized if you movement that was created, these vases are the ones that must be used. The movements are derived from the original Griesbaum design and the now manufactured MMM Symphonion movement and then several important changes were made to allow the birds (and the key wind) to extend into the arrangement and sing properly. The song is the traditional 3 bird Griesbaum and now MMM Symphonion song. And, no you can not use real flowers or add water to the vase -- it isn't conducive to the health of the movement. These are wonderful and will delight your family and friends. We applaud the efforts to rekindle these special bouquets. We'll add video soon! |
